Starting as a Travel Agency
In 2019, we founded Lapland Experiences and Activities Oy, the predecessor of Digimagneetti, with the vision to make the unique program services of Lapland bookable for independent travelers. Unlike major travel operators, we focused on delivering individual and authentic experiences, responding to the growing demand in the Lapland tourism market.
2/2020
Collapse of the Tourism Industry
As a startup, we reached a significant milestone by securing funding from Business Finland, Finnvera, and local investors, which was a crucial step in developing the MVP version of our service. In early 2020, we faced an unexpected challenge that led to an unprecedented halt in the Lapland tourism industry.
5/2021
A New Direction
When the tourism industry became impossible due to factors beyond our control, we did not let it discourage us; instead, we began exploring new opportunities. We had accumulated valuable experience in web service interface and user experience design, providing us with a solid foundation to seek a new direction. After extensive deliberation and planning, Digimagneetti was born.
